Boy Scouts of America Troop 93 was created in 1993 when a handful of scouts and leaders from Pack 100 decided to form a new troop. The troop number 93 was chosen based on the year the troop was created. The first Scoutmaster was Ron Leuchner and the troop was sponsored by the St. John's Roman Catholic Church.
Over the next decade, the troop had many adventures and grew in size to a count of 45 scouts. Ron Leuchner continued as Scoutmaster until December 2002 when he turned the position over to Bruce Kane. During the first decade, four scouts achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
During Mr. Kane's tenure he had 7 scouts earn the rank of Eagle Scout. In 2004, Mr. Kane turned the reigns over to Mr. Kelley.
Mr. Kelley sat at the helm for almost 5 years. During this period of time 14 scouts earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
In June of 2009, the troop again saw a change in leadership with Mr. Kelley turning over the position of Scoutmaster to Mr. Rogers. Mr. Rogers led 11 scouts to the rank of Eagle.
Mr. Rogers turned the reigns over to Mr. Concascia in December of 2012 and led 9 scouts to the rank of Eagle. In 2015 Mr. Concascia turned the reigns over to Mr. Driscoll.
Mr. Driscoll turned over the reigns to Mr. Payette in December of 2019 and led 14 scouts to the rank of Eagle.
Mr. Payette turned over the reigns to Mr. Coleman in January 2022
Mr Coleman turned over the reigns to Mr Carlson January 2023
Over the last 29 years, the troop has managed to maintain a strong program. It has served the district by sponsoring the 2007 Klondike and Co-hosted the 2008 Fall Camporee. In 2011 the Troop went on an aggressive fundraising campaign to purchase a large amount of new camping equipment and larger trailer. The Troop continues to be very active in community events and provides many hours of community service. 52 scouts have advanced to the rank of Eagle Scout in the Troop.
